SPORTS BETTING INDEX was founded in 2000 to help punters with all aspects of internet betting as the phenomenon of online gambling took off.
Whilst the site has changed and developed over time the core beliefs remain the same: being independent, honest and open.
Newsletter 3
Welcome to the third edition of the SBI newsletter where this week we take a look at a new website which concentrates on a certain area of horse racing and definitely fits the mould of betting in a niche market.

Hunter Chases concentrates exactly on that and started last week as the hunter chase season got underway. It is run by Andrew Norman and Gareth Topham who certainly know their point-to-point racing and believe there is a gap in the market for covering hunter chases. From now until the beginning of June there are races around four or five days a week and they aim to produce a preview of each one the night before and post any tips they feel are worth backing. It is a nice simple site and also includes a general news section. We recommend you take a look as we are great believers in betting in niche markets where greater knowledge often leads to profitable punting.

With the Superbowl nearly upon us we thought we would take a quick look at one of the “US Sportsbooks” we recommend who will be giving you a whole host of lines to bet on if betting on the NFL is your thing. With these books what you often find is good deposit and reload bonuses as they fight to keep business. The reason behind this is simple - because of the rules governing gambling for American players these punters tend to only use one sportsbook and tend to stick with it for the length of either the NFL, NHL or NBA season. With this in mind you tend to get much better bonuses on new accounts or even on reloads. One book we have been using for years and never had a problem with is The Greek  who offer 21% bonus on your first deposit and get up to $250 free, plus they give you 11% on reloads with up to $250 available every month. Don’t worry if you don’t bet on US sports as they offer a whole host of betting lines on other sports.
